Neighbors Insurance Agency is a full-service, independent insurance agency based in Upstate New York. For over two decades, we have been a trusted ally for businesses and individuals, offering protection against life's uncertainties. Our personalized approach to insuring your business, assets, and family is the cornerstone of our operations. Our service is built on strong values, deep expertise, and genuine care.
Our journey began in 1996 when Scott founded the agency, initially named the Scott Smith Agency, in Sidney, NY. After working with a larger insurance company, Scott recognized the need for a more personal touch and opened his doors without any prior customers. Over the years, we have experienced significant growth.
In 2000, we rebranded to Neighbors Insurance Agency and expanded with a new office in Oneonta, NY. This expansion has enabled us to serve a broader community. Each year, we are increasingly grateful for our customers and the opportunity to protect what matters most to them.
